Taman Sukasada Ujung is located in Ujung Countryside, south part of Karangasem regency or about 2,5 hours from Bali’s International Airport. From Denpasar Town, we have to take the highway of Ida Bagus Matra’s Street and go to the east part of Bali until arrive at Karangasem town. The journey will take about 2 hours and turn right to the south part of Karangasem town. Taman Sukasada Ujung is right located in the coastal side with beautiful old building and the right place for outdoor photography.
Taman Sukasada Ujung Karangasem or better known as Edge Park is located in the village of Tumubu, Karangasem, East Bali. Karangasem Edge Park is a tourist attraction associated with the royal site. Sukasada park was built by the king of Karangasem I Gusti Bagus Jelantik, who holds Anak Agung Ketut Karangasem Anglurah. In the beginning the Taman Sukasada Ujung areas almost 400 acres, but now only about 100 acres. Most of the land was distributed to the public during the land reform. This park is a privately owned by Puri Karangasem family but public visitors are allowed to visit. Sukasada park was built in 1909 on the initiative of Anak Agung Anglurah. The architect was a Dutchman named Van Den Hentz and a Chinese named Loto Ang. This development also involves a undagi (traditional Balinese architect).

Edge Park in 1937, Parks Sukasada inaugurated with a marble style inscribed with texts in Latin and Bali script and two languages, Malay and Bali. In the area, there are several buildings and large spacious pools. There are three gates to get to the park area, but the tourists can only enter through the gate next to the parking area. As for the main gate entrance is at an elevation on the west side entrance called as Bale Kapal. According to the information we received, this building was once made to resemble a ship. From this place we can see the whole of the area of Taman Sukasada Ujung, or rather we like seeing a miniature Taman Sukasada Ujung Karangasem. And here also, we can see the open sea on the right side and the mountains on the left side.
The park has two equal pools, and a pond called Dirah pool located in the southern part and this is the first pool was build in Taman Sukasada Ujung Karangasem. In the middle of the first pond we can found Balai Gili (Kambang) which has several rooms, there is a dining room, rest room (bedroom) and also room space for the children. To get to the Balai Gili (Kambang) there is a way connected by two bridges in the north and south side of the hall (balai). While in the middle of the second pond is also a hall that is connected by a bridge that leads to the west. In addition, on the west side of the existing Balai Gili, there is Balai Bundar and Balai Tunjuk on the northwestern side of the Balai Bundar. Sukasada park, or better known as the Taman Sukasada Ujung Karangasem, is a garden in Banjar Ujung, Tumbu village, district of Karangasem, Karangasem, Bali. The park is located about 5 miles to the southeast of the Amlapura City. In the Dutch East Indies a place known as Waterpaleis or ” water palace “.
